About the Role
We are seeking a highly driven and commercially astute Head of National Sales to lead our national sales function. This is a pivotal role, responsible for driving profitable growth, developing high-performing teams, and shaping the future of our sales and digital trading strategies.

The successful candidate will combine strategic vision with hands-on execution, ensuring sales turnover and profit targets are achieved while building strong customer partnerships and maximising the performance of our exclusive brand portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Lead delivery of annual sales turnover and profit budgets across personal portfolio and the national sales team.

Develop and implement strategies to grow key accounts and unlock new opportunities.

Inspire, coach, and develop a team of National Account Managers to achieve exceptional performance.

Champion the growth of exclusive brand ranges, ensuring they are embedded in customer portfolios and tender proposals.

Drive digital engagement and online conversion across the national account portfolio.

Lead and support cross-functional projects to enhance sales effectiveness, efficiency, and innovation.

Skills and Experience

Proven track record of delivering against ambitious sales and profit targets at national level.

Strong leadership and coaching skills with experience managing and developing high-performing teams.

Commercially astute with excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

Experience in exclusive brand growth, product optimisation, and category development.

Demonstrated success in driving digital sales growth and online trading performance.

Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, matrix environment with multiple priorities.
